Hi,

Can anyone tell me if the 1.8 freelanders were ever fitted with Rover VVC engines?

If so from which year?

Thanks
Rhys

Hey come on guys, you scare all the new Freelander owners off with chat like that. I'm sure the Discovery forums are a much more civilised place ;)
Rhys, I'm pretty sure only the "K" series engine was fitted to the Freelander, an underpowered 1.8 litre version and a glorious 2.5 litre version. They did change the diesel engine along the line some where to the BMW sourced TD4, which is nice.

Think I may have missed point here as thought question was are 1.8's WC engines, well if you are on HGasket no3 then I think you can agree they are a bit of a toilet of an engine. However, now I see it is VVC, unless that stands for "very very cr*p", i think I have missed the point.

Always worried 1.8 owner.

gmp, you missed the point ;)
Simple question: Did LandRover ever fit the VVC engine to the Hippo?

I see what you did with the WC engine, like it, it is indeed a toilet engine :D

This is correct only the K series on the 1.8 ltr engine. . .:)
