Morning I have a 2000 90TD5 she was running and starting like a watch but then went to start one morning just turning over and not firing. Gone through normal faults injector harness, relays, fuel filter, removed after market immobiliser even had ECU tested. Fuel pressure 4 bar at regulator. Anyone have any ideas ?

I’d say if it doesn’t start with a tow it’s probably fuel related,
Try a little spray of easy start into inlet whilst cranking, and make sure the battery is well charged

Need help with this because I'm not 100% but isn' their a big black relay thing on the back of the engine bay that kills the engine in the event of a accident.

Check that' working correctly.

The reason I say this is my motorbike has a tilt switch relay to stop the engine in a accident and it took me for ever to find it. Bypassed it and it ran

TD5s are also prone to wiring loom faults which can impede starting and running. These can be difficult to pin down especially if they are intermittent. I've had TD5 electronic faults that have prevented any signal getting to the injectors. On one occasion it was an ECU fault (which didn't show up on the Nanocom) combined with wiring loom faults, and on the other occasion it was a blown ECU.

Have you got any diagnostic kit to hand? I'd be lost without my Nanocom. For example, as you crank the engine, does it show any RPM? Mine is about 260 as I recall. If this is OK then you know it's probably not a crank position sensor or associated wiring problem and that the starter motor is not creating too much interference. Any faults logged?
