non starter

Hi All,
Had to jump start P38 few days ago after it sat around for a week, used it yesterday short trip but fine , today battery dead, tried to jump and engine will turn but not fire.
Does anyone know if this is linked to batt failure or something else, I dont think diesel is getting thru. Thanks.

Just been to look at messages on dash and is completely dead, nothing. Parked in different place to usual other night and has not started since. something has discharged battery overnight.

Check your other thread Marky, I'm pretty sure its a battery problem for the reasons noted. Have the battery checked under load after charging it up just to see if there's a fault as the Rangies are extremely intolerant of anything other than a PERFECT battery!!!

And do something with your RF receiver.....change it or unplug aerial!!!

drivers side, under the parcel shelf trim just to the rear of the rear seat. Remove the trim panel carefully and the RF rec is a black box with an aerial wiire and a power connection. You could try unplugging the aerial as that has worked for some. Otherwise buy an updated box from a stealer and fit - takes 5 minutes.
