Hi team, 1998 Defender 90 with 300Tdi. It has a "groaning" like noise when turning from lock to lock. I checked things like:
fluid level, belt tension, other pullys and accessories on the belt.
The noise seemed to be coming from the PS pump. Replaced the pump with new OEM pump and new suction hose. Changed the fluid (Dexron111) and bled air from the system. Still noisy. I have fitted 265/75R16 Maxxis tyres, the noise was there before changing the tyres.
Any thoughts??
