from where and how is it? ... you need to be more specific to get a proper answer imo cos the only answer i can give for your question at this stage is NO

It comes from the engine bay. I though it might be the engine cooling because it sounds a bit like metal cooling down and contracting. But the engine was not the hot and it lasts for hours. The sound it like a cross between a knock and a dull click. Every few minutes

I have a 2003 disco 2. And when the car is off there is a knocking noise. Any ideas

Sorry what's a fuel burning heater?

You've not really got a grasp of these forums thingies do you?
Always better, if you have a problem to firstly start with vehicle and engine type, thereafter describe your problem in depth, this will ulitmately help you, if you can.
It also helps to do a little research on the internet, most problems have been encountered before.
I always think its of great benefit to get the bonnet up and identify the major muscle groups of my engine, in case something gose wrong, however allow me to search 'Fuel Burning Heater' for you.

'Come on man - think like the fox' :)

PS - I presume its a TD5 and not a petrol engine?

it seems like the well known ABS modulator clicking thing... learn to live with it cos if it's that it's a common LR oddity, next time open the bonnet and listen to the modulator

It's on the passenger side. And even in the morning it clicks. I can't find a fuel burning heater?? Although that doesn't mean there is one. I'm just not to ofey with cars!
