no welding needed

A good friend is looking at buying a 4x4 and loves my disco but can't stand to do any more welding on cars so looking for a rust free (as much as can be) so either good original condition or with all the main welding already done.

300tdi or v8 petrol, 5 door.

He is lives in biggleswade Bedfordshire so closer to that the better. Budget up to 1500 for a tidy one.

He'll be lucky for that price .. almost certainly there will be _some_ welding and fettling to do.

Try to find someone who's had one from new and never used it off road ... or on road ..

he ended up buying a subaru legacy 4x4 instead, the twin turbo persuaded him lol.

I know of a Jap import highish milage but rust free i think its around £3K

Mine was up for £1500 never been welded and still solid.

95 (N)Jap import V8 ES on LPG with equivalent of about 85k on the clocks, had lacquer peeling on the roof but everything worked, but only one person inquired about it.

Thanks for the response guys, he ended up buying a 4x4 but was a subaru legacy twin turbo.

By sound of it i got quite lucky with my disco then as paid under 1k for and all it needed was a little patch in the boot floor the rest is solid. loudandproud that sounds like the sort of thing he was looking for especially with the LPG and the sort of money i was expecting them to be.
