A valid point Mauricepchapman , may be worth a think as a stopgap.
But i think i will be converting the old girl to Neg Earth and a Alternator i the long term.

Why have a car radio shoved in that space where it dosn't fit? I have mounted an amp out of sight behind the centre seat. With the right lead - all I have to do is plug my mobile phone into the amp and hey presto - digital quality sound (All very well if you got the right phone).
