No one waves in Discos!

i think its a fing done win people that own cars that are usually associated win being bit involved with them, i used to get it a lot when i had my original mini, my mate gets it a lot with his beetle, as wiv series, there only really cars that you would buy becuz you have a love for them, so its abit of acknowledging other enthusiasts..... if that makes sense????

Seems to be the case all over. Tho I get a wave every morning from a bloke in a shiny 300, with garage stickers on from where he works. He also has a Harley so seeks to be an enthusiast. The lad in the fender with lights, snorkel winch n mts is a completely different matter... Didn't wave back so don't bother. But overall seems to be enthusiasts with nodded/older cars
 
I drive my 90 most days & if I don't, I take the wife's Disco. I always get a wave in the 90 but not in the Disco.
The wife was happy the other day cos someone in a Disco waved to her, just the once in 3 years.
 
I love it up there mate and know what you mean about Windermere.

Bowness reminds me of Blackpool sometimes, I don't like crowds.

Green lanes might be out but I will get over Hardknott and Wrynose to the Woolpack for a pint of Light Cascade yummy

Yeah driving the pass is always a fun ride, great views and some nice pubs along the way for a drink and lunch

In summer it seems like all the pakis come to visit, turns into ****ing bradistan some weeks :mad: yes that is a racist comment but they cant drive for **** and it doesnt help that they insist on stuffing their ****ty Merc ML's and BMW X5's to breaking point with 10 turban toters in the boot, its like watching a clown car unload

My Doris got out of the car to one (southerner) guy in a people wagon that were blockin our way up hill past the fort he couldn't get in gear fast enough then reversed back into a large rock at the side:D how we laughed.
He saw for miles that we was coming up and still met us int middle of the road.

Get so many idiots driving round here that come from the south :p I'm waiting for summer odds are some daft bint in a mini will run into the back of me landy now that I've got a Nato Hitch for it :D

It'll shred those plastic bumpers :)
