After having a new master/slave clutch hydraulics fitted (by Land Rover Docaster JCT600) my LRDS has had a worsening issue that results in it entering a failing state. When the issue occurs the car will die if the revs go above 2,000 in any forward gear (though not if in reverse). When the car dies it will reset the screen display and say special driving modes are all off. There is a permanent code for a Fuel Injector bank short which everyone has told me is irrelevant including LR themselves. They replaced the engine management module and it made no difference. Sometimes if the car is left in this state and it has a holiday of a couple of weeks It will drive fine again for a month before repeat.Just before the issue occurs the car will start to kick and have micro power losses as you approach 2,000 revs before it dies and enters the failing state.
I am now trying to find a mechanic who can fix this issue as I got fed up of the LR dealership and LR themselves taking guesses and replacing good parts with good parts at my expense. If you know of anyone with *proper* LR Kung Fu (not like the jokers at the dealerships) please could you let me know who in reply.
Many thanks in advance of any help given.
(I bought a decent diagnostics tool and recorded the cars full sensor logs during a fail which can be played back)
Rich.
