Well, I bought it today, woohoo!

I will no doubt have several questions to bore you all with but for now... the indicators and hazards don't flash

The lights show on the dash to show the arrows turn green but no external illumination on any bulbs

I tried the fuse, F27 but looks intact

What makes sense to try now?

From research already I can see there is a relay for each of the L and R sides so is it not pretty unlikely that both of them have went?

It seems that it's a D2 but i dont understand how F27 comes into play with the indicators:confused: .. so it would make sense to check the proper fuse which is F14 engine bay

Sorry guys I tried to do some research myself and appear to have made an arse of it!

It's a discovery 2, GS td5 2003 "facelift"

I looked up a fuse diagram and I'm sure it said f27 was the indicators and flashes

I'll take a look at f14 now!

If literally no bulbs are working externally it must be a fuse or relay I would imagine?

Yeah... check the fuses F14, F29 and both indicator relays.

Might be a fault within the interior fusebox cos it's quite common
Ok thank you

The guy I bought it off has a replacement interior fuse box In the back for some reason, might be that

But looked it up and apparently you can have problems with the central locking if you change them

Going to take it down to the garage on Friday, Haha 6 days if ownership and in the garage already

All you have to do is to disconnect the battery neg lead first then after the swap and battery reconnection turn ignition on II and let it so 5 minutes, that's all

Ah is that as simple as it is?

Neg off, unscrew the top nut (or whatever that is holding it on) of the fusebox, plugs out, into new one, neg on and turn the key just enough before it starts the car and then wait 5 mins?

TURN IGNITION ON II and wait 5 minutes DONT CRANK IT

the picture you posted is not visible
Thank you

Didn't work however, grr

Thats the fuses under the bonnet checked and the whole interior fuse box changed over

Has anyone else got any ideas of something else I can check?

1 Do you hear the indicator relays clicking?
2. that plug seems C0582 and those wires are all involved in the central door locking so if that works it's retrofitted and some botch is made there though if it's other plug say which number

First of all mate thank you for your help here, I know this issue has been asked loads of times but I've read every thread and couldn't get an answer

No clicking at all at the relay and thats on 2 different fuse boxes I've tried now, so would that indicate (excuse the pun) a problem further back and if so what is the next piece back?

As for the split wires being central locking I think you are onto something as the key I was given had this fob attached to it and was going to be another thread I started!

So the central locking is bodged with a retrofitted unit that's for sure, if the relays are not clicking it means there's no feed to them which is supposed to get to the fusebox through pin 7 of that C0582 so insert a live with a wire somehow in that pin and see what happens

Sorry for being thick but you are saying the power to the flasher relays should be coming into the fusebox from pin 7 in that same plug the cut wires are in yeah?

Yes, through purple/brown wire pin 7 but if that's cut too(i cant see well in the pic) it means that the flashers are bodged too with some retrofitted unit and the problem is with that one so you'll have to follow the wires to see where they end up

The more I Google the more worried I am that it Is the bcu

Just seen this..

When a BCU fails it can immobilise the vehicle, key fobs not working, either or both the front windows, rear windows, hazards flashing etc, dash lights, & system failures. You need a degree of knowledge to diagnose a failed BCU

Bearing in mind my rear windows don't work, flashers don't and I have the "3 amigos", is it likely that its the bcu itself?
