No handbrake

Evening all. jumped in the land today and theres no bite on the handbrake. it clearly isn't working. no warning any ideas in case its something simple i can look at myself before taking it to garage? Cheers.

Hi Clive,

is it travelling to the top?

Is there any resistance on the lever?

Was it OK before ? how many clicks did it travel?

Have you tried adjusting it?

wasn't like it before, was three clicks and solid, now travelling all the way without resistance. don't really know where to start with the adjustment.

Is the cable still attached to the lever?

If yours is like mine, peel the rubber cover by the footwell forwards and see if the cable is still attached.
