Hi Boys & Girls Hope your all well :) Right got a problem with the 3 door 300tdi :( Not been run for a few years & now I wont to move it , Got fuel to the pump :) but not the injectors :( riped hand to bits lookin for a spider behind dash :( no spider to be found ! the only thing not in line is the alternator which I robbed for the 5 door LOL but surely this would not kill the pump ??? turns over fires on sniff , the pump is different than the 5 door one , this 1 as two plugs a blue 1 & a black 1 , the blue 1 goes to the bit you can adjust at front of pump , the black 1 goes to the rear of pump & I can only think it as sumat to do with fuel shut off ???? thoughts ???? & yes I have read every thing on here LOL

Are there any electrics on the end of the injectors? (Only 1 should have this)

are there any electrics on top of the main fuel injector pump?

have you got 12v to the stop solenoid to the pump?

Hi Phill :) Its a manual ! so no wire on forth injector :) like I said the pump is different to the 1 on the 5 door I have , the 2 plugs I mentioned are on the injector pump & it dunt av the stop/ start Solenoid like your thinking :( that would be a easy fix LOL

The solenoid is hidden on the 300 pump behind some plastic. Think the top 1(where throttle body is) is for the erg system

You can still check for 12v to see if it’s an immobiliser problem

I give up then.... I like simples with no electronics, unless I have put them in for a reason.
I would disconnect the wires to the pump & make a lead to connect to 12v.
Then short/jump the starter solenoid to turn over.
Good luck finding the gremlins of the spider

Poss the second plug is for the egr throttle position sensor?

Rermove stop solenoid (bit of a toss due to inj pipes) remove stop solenoid small spring and rubber plunger, refit solenoid and start engine, will need stalling to stop it, if it runs either solenoid is knackered or the supply to the solenoid is no good, but like you suggest the missing alternator may be linked somehow.
New stop solenoids under ten quid.

You have taped/made safe the cables from the alternator? These will be live as they go back to the starter motor then To the battery.
Missing alt should not make a difference

I'm no expert in these but have the same problem (though intermittent) with an auto, no diesel to injectors.
You mentioned that you had changed your green box, I was under the impression you also needed the donor fob?
I also read that you could bridge pins 10 and 11 to bypass the immobiliser. I've tried this and put in a switch, makes no difference to the vehicle starting but perhaps worth a try.
In my case I just use my Disco on the farm occasionally so keep it running.

Hi Kenbo Hope your well :) I do have the fob with the green box & every thing works :) I MAY av sorted it (fingers crossed) I just gooogled the problem & it brought me back to L/Z :) it turns out there's some VOODOO at the back of the pump :( So i'm gunna drill the anti tamper bots that hold the plastic crap on the stop solenoid & see wots in there :) worst case I av a pump that's off my blown 300 & will put it on if all else fails LOL

Hi Dippypud Hope your well LONG TIME no speak :( LOL It was the F000000kin VOOODOO on the back of the pump :( had to get the grindr in to cut it off coss I couldn't get the drill in to kill the anti tamper bolts out Grrrrrrrr Stuck 12 volts to the stop/start & she fired straight up :)
