No Electrics Whatsoever

I have a 300 series Disco 3.9V8 auto.
There is no life in the electrics at all, no beeping when you put the ignition key in, no dash lights, no side/head lights, nothing.
The battery is fully charged and is in tip top condition.
I have checked the fuses.
Disconnected the battery and then reconnected - usually this is accompanied by a series of clicks as various relays activate, but not today.
Could it be the immobiliser unit under the radio behind the dash at fault?
Has anyone got any ideas??
Please help!!

Are you getting no electrics at all, not even interior lights etc?

Check all earth cables, make sure your battery terminals are good and clean.

If you have no electrics at all then suspect the fuseable link. This will cut all power to the car if it has blown.

You will have to feel along the loom to find the exact location of the link. On the classic Range Rover it is under the dash. Look for evidence of burning in the loom.

Have you shorted something out, or is your alternator overcharging?

on a disco 1 the links are o/s engine bay up by the brake servo - look for some braid.

make a patch lead, about 3ft long or long enough to reach from the battery to the fuse box. put a 30amp inline fuse on it too.If you don't fuse it and there is a fault you won't do any more damage. clip one to the 12+ red side of the battery and the other to the heavy red wire in the front of the fuse box. then try and see if it comes to life. if it dos then like locket said possable fused link ,or a dead short thats gone though the main feed to the fuse box.
Make sure that the neg side of the battery is nice and secure and that the engine earth straps are tight and are there!

just a ball ache of a process of elemination mate im afraid.

Thanks for your replies and suggestions.

I hate fooking electrics!!!

Got the bloody thing going again more by luck than by judgement.
Got the tester out and checked all the heavy wiring in the engine bay, all was ok until I got to the starter motor.
I reckon all the mud and ****e I've been through of recent trips out had caused the little spade connector on the starter solenoid to lose it's connection.
I had no life at all until I wiggled this connector and then everything came back again.
I'm ecstatic, but could it really be as simple a cure as this??

I wouldn't have thought so, all that little wire does (if its the one I am thinking of) is comes from the ignition switch and switches the starter solenoid...

e.g. if the engine was running and you pulled this off it would make no difference to the rest of the electrics.
