No drive except in diff lock.

Apologies for not using search but I'm out on me own with limited mobile coverage!

I've lost drive in high and low box unless I lock the diff. Any pointers I can try with a weak torch and minimal tool kit?

CV joints??

drive in difflock which is nothing to do with hi /low,check prop joints as they can make a mess if broken and shaft flails about ,could be cv,diff,half shaft,either front or back

drive flange, half shafts, cv joints, or one of the diffs

Just do not drive home in Diff Lock, otherwise your will be more than buggered! If you can get a recovery service to pick you and your Landy up!

you can tell if its going to hurt anything by the noise ,if it isnt noisy its fine to drive

I had a similar one today, took front prop off then tried to move, so put it in diff lock and had no drive !!! but did in low gears! any ideas?

Update-drain plug is missing from the gear box. I have a v dry gearbox. Pants.

did it bang out of drive

fook! sounds like you got biiiiig problems

that wouldnt be effected by difflock that would give seized driveless gearbox in any mode ,is that drain bung near engine underneathe on ali housing or 32mm plug on side of cast iron part of box

I bet its not the drain plug really.

Bung underneath on Ali housing. And it did clunk out of drive.

Are you sure its not the bellhousing breather?
