So I have Freddie apart, and have got an ‘upgraded’ Pcv filter to fit as part of the service.
Does this simply click into place, replacing the old type filter, or do I need to also fit the supplied rubber band ‘gaskets’… can’t seem to see a positive fit for them…?
Help!

That should click in if it's proper BMW one and the rubber bands should fit in the base if you take the old ones off. Better would it be to use the new ones to make sure it's tight. I went back to the old fluffy filter as it seems to keep the inlet manifold and EGR cleaner as some found out. Caught between a rock and a hard place.
