Hi Gals n Guys...

Been lurking in the background for a while plucking up courage to post...

Anyhow been using the search function and Google to try and get my Landy back up to scratch.

I have no top end pull, can hit 60 at a push but she won't budge past that, almost as though 4th and 5th do nothing! :(
So I have

Changed the injector loom
Cleaned ECU plug - not taken ECU to pieces do i need to?
Removed EGR - have left in pipe that runs off T to the alternator - should I remove this as well?
Full coolant flush - hoses all seem fine no apparent leaks
Checked Wastegate - moving as it should
Checked MAF - engine dies if I disconnect.

So just wondering what I should be looking at next??

Shes a 1998/9 TD5 90 HT

Thanks and please be gentle :D

Seems ok below 60, can feel the engine pull and turbo kick in and out etc. But she has done it since I bought it in October.
Now the weather is nice and I can get outside thought I would try and fix it.

Air filter is clean and in good nick.
Not checked the fuel filter, is that an easy ish job?

Yep they are pretty soft - shall go for replacement hoses too.

I'm kinda blind as to what top end should be like but I am assuming I should be closer to 80 than 50?

I can get 90 out of my 200tdi so I'd be looking for around 90 ish. You won't ever want to go above 60 anyway because fuel consumption goes up at an alarming rate when you get to about 60.

It would just be nice not to be over taken by a Focus towing a caravan!

Not too sure on the Sedimenter... will have a look.

Have ordered the Turbo hoses and will see how it goes, shame I left it a bit late to get them in time for the weekend.

OK quick update....

MAF changed for a geniune one, sure the old one was fine but you never know!
MAP sensor cleaned - this was full of crap so given a good clear out.
Turbo hoses replaced (i was so happy when they showed up with the post man this morning!)

But still no difference...
Will remove the snorkle next followed by the fuel filter and sedimenter

Least its 20 degrees outside!

200 tdi with 1410 110 std 750/16 tyres will do 90 ,what nos of t/box ,does engine get turbo boost and feel well or restricted
