Has all faults been reset and cleared with suitable tool?
Remember to check for faults again after reset.

What tool is used?

Sounds like its telling you the pressure in tank is static ie bad leak or faulty pump.
when it was working after reset the pump works well and lifts and lowers car as it should if I had a bad leak im guessing the pump would want to work all the time to keep the pressure and the car would go down over night which it doesn't do it stays up like I have said the pump sound good not noisy and the system works well when it wants to after a reset. the diagnostic tool was a "Snap-On" one.

Pressure static when filling means the system cannot detect a rise in pressure in the tank while the pump is running.

This can mean the pump is tired, there is a leak in the line between the pump and the tank or there is an issue with the valve block.....

Search out a thread by a memeber called RS2000Custom where he discusses this fault code and what happened to his valve block....

It can also be the pressure switch I believe and corroded connectors.

I had same problem ask your mate (with the snap on diagnos.) to do a live data test, this will eliminate a lot of problems. had mine done with RS2000custom he narrowed it down to tired compressor changed it no probs since

Im thankful for all the posts with suggestions on this problem but what confuses me here is when the error is reset on the ecu the Air suspension works fine the pump pumps when it should car goes up and down as it should no funny noises the car stays up no visible signs of any leaks and even when the Air susp inactive pops up the car stays up and when parked on a slope it pumps to level it self has there ever been a problem with a wonky ecu? because I keep also getting check coolant level even though its topped up?? just doesn't seem to have any mechanical symptoms at all.

EAS ECU is very robust...

The L322 (like the P38) has two fault modes - Hard and Soft...

A hard fault is when the system can't determine its height, there is no air to level the vehicle to maintain stability or a serious sensor failure...

A soft fault is when the vehicle can determine ride height and there is air pressure in the tank to maintain level...

The two fault modes can be determined through the lights on the selector switch - Hold light on and Standard light on = Soft Fault

All lights off = Hard Fault

If yours has a soft fault, the system will relevel the car as best it can to standard and attempt to remain there...which is why yours relevels itself.

Also with a soft fault the compressor will run to try an keep the tank filled...

The reason why yours runs fine once the system has been reset for a while is because the pump has been given time to refill the system while it has been in a fault condition....

It will then remain fault free until such time as the compressor cant keep up with the air demand or the tank is depleted as the compressor isn't filling it - due to a leaky valve block, weak pump or a leak somewhere.

as i have said before it needs a live data test, it will pump up and down ok but dont forget it is using air from the res. if this is all used up it will have to pump up from the compressor then live data will show if the compressor is tired hope this helps

cheers looks like a trip back to my mates when he did the reading and reset the system last time which did nothing to cure problem he had the drivers door open would this be a problem just I have seen folks remark about the doors having to be closed to reset faults?

Had the rangy re-mapped today by that very nice man from Dynochip and whilst he was at it he got his super all dancing Diagnostic equipment out and gave the car the complete looking at, I do have further issues which will be put in another post.
we looked at the Air suspension and the tank is holding the pressure spot on and the compressor fills it spot on, so why its says Unable to hold reservoir pressure im not sure, seems the problem must be in the valve block with it sticking or something. just reluctant to have it replaced as the cost aint cheap if it aint going to solve problem is there a way to test the thing institute??

Read the thread posted by rs2000custom.

mentioned that in post 22 :D:D:D

Some people just can't be told :D
You did indeed Ant, some peeps don't read instructions either, you would be amazed, or perhaps not, at the number of people installing the cooling fans mod that send email after email asking questions that are covered in the instructions:mad:

i'm only a few months into L322 ownership and have been here daily for various faults including EAS.

i got an Allcomms from RSW solutions which has proven to be invaluable when combined with the advice from this site as some of the guys on here have the same tool. it does a lot for the money just be prepared to wait about 3 weeks while it clears customs via parcel farce and then pay for the privilege
good luck :)

This looks like a very good tool to have and watching the video looks easy to use as well think I will be investing in one of these cheers for the link.
