What a thread! Great to see another Series member. Hope you enjoy the landy! I have 750's . Depends where you are and what you will do. Sure you could fit all the tyres flagged. What do you want? Period look or aggressive off road? I'VE been on 750's for years. Great for off-road logging and deep snow. I've got two Trac Edge which are now obsolete and the Avon Rangemasters. I've decided to go for the Rangemasters. Looking for a look in keeping with age. Depends what you want. The zxl is a great tyre n also a bit retro.

I don't like tubes though, when they puncture you have to change the wheel, with tubeless you can pump up and limp home, or carry on to a safer place to change, depending on how bad the puncture is.

I presume I will need different wheels to fit tubeless tyres

Yes. A Set of later Defender rims will be tubeless, late 2000s onwards. You can tell by the presence of the safety ridges around the insides of the bead seats.

If you're lucky you might find a set of Defender tubeless wheels with tyres already on them - quite often new take-off sets come up with Michelin Lattitudes on in 7.50 flavour.

Scrub that......it seems the seller didn't like my question about 'are the tyres any good' and has disappeared....
. I'm on the look out for a set of mt tyres complete with wheels if you know of any, ;-)
I'll post in the wanted section when I'm allowed
