thanks for the welcome . iv`e just gone and jumped in at the deep end me . bought myself a series 2a ? not sur yet . it`s abit of a miss match i think . got a series 3 bulkhead i think , it has the seires 3 window bolts and the clocks are behinde the steering wheel . also has head lights in the grill and the wings . reg says its a 2a but has a 3 engine and gear box has had the number ground out and a suffix e stamped into it . its stripped at the mo . done some repairs to the chassis and got a coat of red oxide and chassis black on it . just about to start rebuilding the chassis with alot of new parts. got a hellish repair job to do on the bulkhead as its as rotten as a pair . cant afford to replace it but have got new parts to weld in place . will get some pics up as soon as i can work out how to do it .

just had to bye a new bulkhead . mine was shot . got it from john craddock . series 3 santana in left hand drive . will have to mod it a bit but will save me so much time , plus , will ahve a new bulkhead on my landy , sweet . £800 . not to bad for a new one , genuine landrover aswell . also ordered a new wiring loom at the same time , not cheep . abouut £300 all in . again , will make things alot easier . and it will be future proofed . think after all this work i may have to consider keeping it . we will see .cheers all .
