good afternoon to you all, im a newbie to the forum and also a newbie to 4x4, just bought 1999 discovery 4.0 v8.
hidden horrors now ive started to have a real good look at her. cruise control disconnected, heated seats disconnected, wires hanging out when undo fuse box.
exhaust full of filler but not blowing
Well that will teach me to take a proper look next time
connected heated seats but drivers not working (anybody got any ideas as they both use same fuse ?)

lift the carpets in the rear load area and check the floor isn't rotten also rear body crossmember and body mounts also sills and floor above sills.

thanks mate, we have checked all body it seem's ok but could do with a good undersealing
its more mechanical than anything with these bits being disconnected
got full power
slight whining on power steering when looking to right
breaks, lights body and tyres all seem ok
just cruise control and heated seat

Cruise control is common problem mates got a 98 300tdi and his cruise doesn't work either. heated seats is probably a broken connection or a dodgy relay.
