Hi
I am new to this forum. I have driven discoveries for 12 years and love them. however, my current discovery is causing me some pain! My vehicle is a disco 3 TDVS HSE 2006 automatic. Last year I had the timing belt changed, the ERVs blocked off, a new alternator, a new battery, and gear box oil changed. The car has now done 105K miles.
The last work done was the gear box oil change in November last year.
Since then the car has been sluggish getting into 1st gear. The car now shows an intermittent transmission failure warning when cold when you select reverse, and also is sluggish when automatically selecting from auto park to 1st and from 1st to 2nd gear.
I have booked it in for diagnostics on Friday, but wondered whether I should prepare myself for the shock of work to be done and the consortium of bankers I may need to get together to pay the bill.
Can anyone here give me some advice or guidance of what I can expect a landrover dealership to tell me I need fixing?
Thanks in advance if anyone can help...
