New to this site and just wanna say hi...
My interest in Land Rovers has just been renewed after I picked up my 2007 LR3 V8 HSE last week. It was a dealer demo - 8 months old with 12k on the clock - VERY NICE....
Managed to get a quick trip into the mountains and the desert over the week-end - just to sample/sniff the capabilites of the LR3 - and what an improvement it is on the Disco.
I had (actually it was the wife's car) a 2003 DISCOVERY SRII TL2 4.0L V8 which I sold when the warranty ran out in 2006 with 110,000km on the clock - not that I had any problems with it whatsoever - but....
Had lots of fun with it in the desert but it had a tendency to run out of breath when trying to get over the larger sand dunes...
Bought a 2006 Pajero 3.8L (for the wife
) which is a great vehicle and very capable off-road.
But I have always had my eyes on the LR3 and hoping that Land Rover has by now fixed most of the teething problems I have exchanged the A8L 4.2 with the LR3
Look forward to share some off road experiences with you folks!
That's it for now - will check in from time to time to see what's happening.
