NEWBIE to landy zone

Hi all just like to say i like the web site, hope you can all help me, iam thinking of taking me pris and joy off road
I don`t think i should
I used to do a bit of the off roading up the lakes way with me old series 2a, was not bothered if it broke, but this thing stand`s me at a bit more than that.
So what should i do?
Buy an old 1 just to play with me thinks so

It depends really how mad you're going to drive and if you can afford to keep two Landies on the road. If you don't drive like a loon then your Discovery is up to the job.
If it was me and I could spare a grand then a range rover classic 3.5 V8 would be on my shopping list with a nice set of mud tyres. I know its a dear toy but at least it won't hurt so much if you scratch it or put a nice dent in the side.
