How long will your door-trade-secret hold Noisy?

It is permanent, until someone bends it again!

If you let the rear door swing open, it bends it downwards, that's the usual cause of surprise saggy door, obviously general wear is the main offender.

Bend those hinges back and, well, could last forever!

Bouncing on the bumper is fine, however your design doesn't seem to take into account pie eating owners.

Any fix for a bumper that's bent downwards? My door fits fine now......

:D

The theory assumes the bumper is stronger than the door and capable of taking the weight of the owner!

I do however know you are jesting because I have seen pictures of your new bumper and pictures of you in them and I don't recall you saying you made it out of bean tin, so unless you eat lead shot daily there's no way you could have bent that thing!! :p

Still none the wiser there is three lots of wires all with different connector plugs at the ends. Running into the space beside power steering from behind the n/s headlight. Could have had spots I supose, but no sign of mounting for them. Plot thickens.

Dude, if I'm right they all had plugs for say, spotlights etc even if they weren't being fitted to that particular vehicle. There could be many more 'empty' plugs all over the place. Believe me if that's your only concern you're laughing!

^^^ yeah he's right, the basic looms were all built the same.

I would stop worrying about what you have got and think about what you might not have, like floors, sills, wheel bearings, oil pressure, oil, dry carpets, second gear, etc etc :)

Me...worried? I'm more laid back than a burst li-lo ;-) with regardrs looms I do think they are for spots as they are behind o/s light to, floors and cills are great compared to other discos iv seen, boot floor is amzingly solid, although I need to sort some leaks like front n/s door, which I think lets in at the window and comes out drain hole onto carpet :-(.

Rear door still wont bend up even with me and misus bouncing on the bumper and a work bench under the door :-( might try jacking the car up via the back door:)
