Hi just joined and bought a disco 300 a week ago. Looking to do some offroading and have my mod list already but going to start with the basics 1 st and get car running right 1 st as I hate things not working.

I have already fixed tge driver door that wouldn't open with the handle , now looking at rear electric windows. Have read how to do tge ecu fix but cant seem to get the electric plugs out any ideas? I now the top is stiff but the bottom I can't get at all.

Secondly the rear door sag, how can I sort this cheaply as is catching rear bumper. ? I can't seem to find the right info on the net.

Lastly, ( honest) I'm going to service it, do I need a new washer for tge sump or should the old one do as some kits have them , some don't?

Oh just remembered, sorry , there seems to be something missing from the engine bay beside the power stearing reservoir at the front. There is a strap and a couple of wires with plug on the end but nothing else there ?

Thanks. I'm new to discoveries but not car forums I have spent the last week searching forums which is why I asked, is this not the point of forums? Sorry if I offended.

Not at all

I suspect the wires are from an old alarm. They often malfunction and get ripped out.

It could be that the sag can be helped with some packing upset lower hinge as an immediate measure. Couple of larger washers maybe

Or loosen of the bolts that the door hinges attach with (on the door behind the door card) get a mate to lift the door at handle/latch end when slightly open and re-tighten bolts.

*Edit* I int never gonna use your garage Mr N:eek::D

Chunky monkey / Mr noisey cheers for that ill give that a go :0) but regard the missing thing, I still have the original alarm which works fine ( kept going off when I worked on tge door) it looks like it was a cylindrical thing which had a retaining strap but not sure , its a puzzle.

Regards the door, if you go too far, hang off the door a bit!

Just go steady on the bumper and you'll find it works very well.

If you get spurred on, bricks under the side door and rock the car.

5 doors that shut like new? Not bad :D

aint the jack is it:rolleyes:

Hiya mate sounds silly but I'm new to here but is the missing strap near your power steering the holder for you're bottle jack?

Ahhh could be, but no sign of jack. no welding done yet. But on the cards for inner sill and battery tray, boot floor is surprisingly good. Feck knows what the plug is for then ?
