get some "k plus" from a good motor factor, this should seal your leak for six months giving you ample time to part ex, it is probably head gasket that is leaking, but if the engine was severely overheated in the past, it will need more than an mls gasket to cure it!
Ok I have been to pick up the freelander today.I left it with him on Saturday and he was still sourcing some parts yesterday. He has done the following
replaced head gasket (upgraded multi layer)
replaced one of the manifold gaskets
replaced timing belt
new main hose conversion with thermostat upgrade
new dizzy cap and rotar arm (other burned badly when coil fried)
He has done all the above ,washed the car and jet washed the engine for the princely sum of £340 including parts ,labour and vat!!!!!
Now to me that seems cheap or maybe he is justy one of the last genuine good guys out there happy to make a living ,not a killing!
I dont know why but it certainly pulled better up a hill on the way home.Is this due to better compression?
If anyone is in need of any works doing to any vehicle and you are in the Leeds area,I will be happy to pass his details on.He will shortly be adding a hydraulic ramp and tyre machine so will be able to undertake most repairs.
I am happy happy happy
I have a reciept showing all works done so if I now sell the car
