i have recently bought a RR 4.6 HSE, i used to own a volvo which cost me £2500 to keep on the road for 1 year and i only paid £600 for it, the RR is just like my last jag but your higher up, good luck hunting

I have just bought my 1st RR 2.5 dse after looking for nearly 2 yrs.
She looks fantastic and comfortable drive I personally would always have a RR now the ultimate form of transport...
The bad side is she has not been looked after previously and does the crab when driving which the garage has set the alignment but it seems to made it worse, she hates being hot and wont start for at least half an hour got to set off an hour early if you have to be anywhere on time.
Its all minor detail and I love her to bits but test drive your new RR for a long time especially if your going to spend that much.
I am going looking at another today, totally hooked, hubby wont be happy....

Just paid a deposit for a range rover

I have some questions if anyone can help, when i checked the oil dip stick in the engine bay it was like brand new, not dark at all, it seemed like there was no oil in at at all, the seller said it had just been serviced, it has done over 70k,
My old car had done around that mileage and with after the service the oil was still a bit dark,

Also how long does it take for the air suspension to take affect, this took at least a minute to happen.

1 last question i did not take the car on the motorway but i drove it on local roads, hence not using all the gears, i tried all the gears in triptonic when i was stand still and they wint into gear, is this ok or will i have to take it on the motorway to see if all the gears work?

The air suspension should rise in approximately under 25 secs. My brother has a 54plate Rangie and it does in less than 14-18 seconds. I have a 98 model so does it the same. If your suspension is having any air leaks or a future problem, it would take time to rise. You should have tried the car on the motorway to see the suspension rise/fall on various speed limits.

Regarding gears, I would be able to recommend anything, ask Wills he is an expert with Rangies.
