This year I have now broken the shackles of Mr Reliable Dad in his unofficial taxi for the kids.
My kids now have their own vehicular crosses to bear and in celebration of my new found freedom I am about to embark on a quest to find the Defender 90 of my dreams to love and cherish and obey its every whim until death us do part.
My main use will be for taking equipment to gigs throughout the UK/Ireland and finding remote places in Scotland where I can wet a fly line once or twice a week; as well as smugly refusing access to my wife and kids, lest my dream vehicle become another repository for crisp packets, drinks cans, dirty horse riding equipment and office files where in this case the meaning of the word temporary is geological.
I look forward to learning the ins and outs of Defender purchase, repair and customisation and overall maintenance.
Yours in Anticipation
