Certainley shop around, and remember the 'golden rule' never NEVER buy the very first one you see (unless it's a superb exanple of course)
There are some VERY good deals around, my son in-law has just grabbed an X plate TD5 auto with 93k on the clock in mint condition in and out for £4,800 and from a dealer, but it comes with a 3 month warranty (for what it's worth) but at least if there is anything major (engine,gearbox etc) he will hopefully have a recourse ?
Ignoring the new LR's - ALL are very much a 'love/hate' type of vehicle, and obviously all of us in here LOVE 'EM . . my Mrs says I love my Disco more than her, and certainly seem to spend more time 'fiddling' with it . . . I just didn't see the argument !!!!
