Hello everyone, glad to be here. Hope there is someone out there that can help with some issues I am having with my W reg Freelander 1.8.
I bought the car a couple of months ago and it was lovely until last week. First problem was the reverse lights coming on whilst driving, but only in 2nd and 4th gears? Swapped out the sensor, which didnt solve the problem,so as a temporary fix I removed the reverse bulbs, then the SRS warning light started coming on,but only when it went above 2000rpm,that seems to have sorted itself out now but when I park up for the night the battery has gone flat by the morning(new batt fitted 2 days ago). Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance, people.

Hi Mick welcome :).. Off the top of my head.. I would start looking at the reverse light trigger..see if it is being interfered with in any way by the linkages as you select 2nd and 4th gears.

Welcome mickmc. As BillyJacksuggested its sounds like somethings being fouled up somewhere and possibly creating a short. Until you find out what it may be worth removing the fuse for your reverse lights....if there is one, to see if it prevents your battery drain in the meantime.
