Newbie here. Hi!

Hi there!

Since I started driving I've maintained that I want a Landy. Well, last August I was able to ditch my little Toyota Yaris for a Landrover Freelander TD4 and I've been in love ever since!

No it's not the "coolest" Landy (a bit 'football mum!') but she's mine and I love her.

Her name is Lady Beast (my mums choice, apparently it stuck). What names do you all have for yours?

Most of us have two names for our landies, the first is the affectionate one and the second is full of profanities.
The freelander is one of the better models in terms of value for money, I have a freelander 1, 1.8 petrol which most people avoid like the plague and I also have a series 3 called Compo. Good luck with yours and welcome to the forum. What bike do you ride?

Oh trust me, the profanities name is there.... it just changes as the situation does pmsl

Atm I'm riding a 38 year old Honda CM125 (named Scarlett!)... but I'll hopefully be passing my big test later this year, at which point I'll be on a also 38 year old Yamaha Maxim 750

Unless you've got think skin and are not easily offended you'll probably want to stay out of Anything Goes for a while

I've been working as a barmaid in a biker bar for the last 5 years or so.... you learn quickly to sink or swim, as the other staff rip the **** just as well as the customers most days!

A biker bar is nothing compared to Anything goes, most bikers who like to congregate are gay anyway, it's the leathers that attract them.

I've had a look through Anything Goes. Compared to some groups I'm in on other sites, it's all fairly tame so I'll be fine lol

You say that now but as soon as some unsuspecting female visits anything goes, the barmpots are on her like a pack of jackles. You have to remember some on here are so old and ugly that their imaginations get the better of them, they think they look like Tom Cruise but actually look more like Freddie Kruger.

My P38 is known as "Delilah" so when it breaks, i can say "why why why Delilah" in my best Tom Jones voice..

Disco is known as "rusty" for obvious reasons,.

Love it! I hope you don't have to sing at it too often! I did debate renaming Lady Beast but mum told me she'd beat me if I did and my kids loved the name. My old Toyota Yaris was ironically named "Mr Zippy"

It's a RR so I know the lyrics off heart, haven't killed it yet though

A good little motor that's currently costing me an arm and a leg haha. The gears felt all stiff last Wednesday, sent mechanic friend a text asking him to come take a look at the weekend. Thursday, no clutch! Told the garage I suspected master cylinder had gone. Turns out I was right but also the slave cylinder decided to go at the same time fml. So now it's the waiting game and hopefully it will get repaired and back to me fairly quick. Costing near a grand to sort it out! Was very sad yesterday watching my poorly car being taken away on the back of a flat bed!
