Hi all,

I'm new to forums but here's my best shot;

My names Daniel, I'm 22 and from Birmingham.

I'm currently saving to get myself a land Rover 90, I've always wanted a defender they've always been my dream car!

Once I own my defender I'm looking at using it on road and off road, also I want to help people in bad weather situations and just generally helping people out.

The reasons for joining a Landrover club is to increase my little knowledge on the mechanical side of Land Rovers and also helping others in any way possible whether it be technically or helping them if they've broken down (not that landys break down! :) )

If anyone has any advise for me when buying my defender 90 and what to look out for I'd be more than grateful.

Lol thanks all.

I drove upto Bradford on Saturday to view a couple of Defenders at TandT Motors.. in particular this one: Land Rover Defender 2.5 3dr

Whilst I was there the person who worked there didn't seem interested to speak to me, even though i'd just drove over to hours to get there! :(

What do you think of the defender I've attached? I'm starting to sway from getting a Defender with a snorkel and winch and purchasing one with better body work and interior (with less rust) and fitting a snorkel and winch myself..

Does anyone have any companies in mind to go to for purchasing my first Defender 90?..

Post in defender section and you will get better response pal

Lots of bolt on goodies, chassis and bulkhead may be tired by now, and would certainly want thorough inspection.
Personally I would do as you say, get a very sound standard vehicle and do what I needed to for my own use.
LR mags have a selection of private and trade sellers.
