Hi there, just to introduce myself. i am a newbie freelander owner, bought a 2005 mk1 XEI 3 door!
hopefully for some cheap and cheerful motoring in this day and age, funded from the lease car payments i no longer have to make after giving it back at the end of its lease!
always liked the freelander and fancied something simple and capable for load carrying, as long as it starts stops and the heater works i'm happy. comfortable with DIY maintenance and looking forward to doing some work myself, work from home so no longer under pressure to have a car to get into the office.
first ownership of a landy but have worked on other friends ones previously, engine swapping a S1 and helping rebuild an S2 ground up.
big into my motorcycles as well so if anyone needs help with those give me a shout.
i'm sure i'll have plenty of questions about how to's etc. so look forward to interacting with you as i get to grips with the freelander and add a few upgrades.
cheers
Steve
