My wife finds my Disco-1 ( '92 ) too heavy to drive. Especially the clutch and gear. An automatic would solve that.
She has driven our Freelander-1 for years, but now preferes a VW golf. In comparison she still finds the Freelander heavy.
I now drive our Gaylander. It's a lightweight Land Rover, but I (6'2 / 17 st) fit in it comfortably, together with my 19 st front-row mate. (And yes, before you say it, it still goes :5bsifone: )
And the recent snow was no problem at all.
