Ah well - that list looks like it'll keep you busy over the winter.

At least you still have the old caps - mine were nicked a month or so back.
Not too big a loss as the salt had crept under the plastic surface and they looked cr*p anyway.

The better made and finished latest style should defy the weather better - but knowing my luck the snatchers will return for the new ones.

Why the fook would someone nick them? They're worthless ..

I haven't a clue either, mate - but they certainly didn't all fall off at once, when I drove though a puddle. :p

Some damn kid probably and / or his pals who 'did it for a laugh'.

They are quite easy to get out with a knife or screw-driver blade.

They probably didn't know they were scruffy old caps as they were covered in mud at the time. Only the one on the spare wheel was decent looking.

Fortunately there was no damage to the wheels.

Everything looks good again now - when I wash the mud off. ;)

Basstids!

Got them back just now! Wow are they sweet!

First off, fitting these is an instant 1" lift. I put one side by side with one of my 215/65 tyres and what with the tread they are at least 2" larger in diameter, if not a bit more.

Pix!!!

Looks good to me!

Loads of em on ebay. That's where I bought my 17's and sold my 16's. You need to be sure though - I regret not hanging our for 18's if honest.

yes i have thought of keeping the 17" wheels with some scorpion str on for the summer!

regards lee

Word on the Scuttlebutt says General are about to release the Grabber AT in lots of new sizes, which mean a good AT tyre for those with 17 and 18 inch rims.

Will.

It's an americanism - their version of "the grape vine." Comes from naval culture, sailors would gossip while in line passing the Scuttlebutt. Literally these were just pails of water for bailing out the bilges of a ship if the pumps weren't enough. Ships always leaked back then and bailing was part of everday routine :).
