New trailer, rust!!

They are starting to get difficult making excuses, ask for the money back.
Simple, walk away with your hard earned.

I'm sorry but that is utter bollocks, that trailer would have gone through a caustic cleaner, a couple of rinse tanks, then into an acid (most likely inhibited hydrochloric acid) pickling tank then into a couple more water rinse tanks before being hot dipped. That looks more like a porous weld or some other manufacturing defect allowing the acid solution to continue leaching out after rinsing.

I used to work in (mostly zinc) electroplating, and although the finishing process is different, the preparation will still be the same.

You paid a lot of good, hard earned money for that trailer, that area is going to need constant attention and rustproofing.

They are ( As you well know) trying to fob you off with nonsense.

I hope you get it sorted to your satisfaction & maybe name and shame this manufacturer when you're sorted

^^ FFS !!! I suggest it's time to turn up the level of assertiveness in your dealings with this outfit - about 1% less than full on rant should be sufficient

Do they advertise in the local paper at all ? might be worth emailing said paper with a photo

Crazy isn’t it, the chap wasn’t to merciful either on the phone and didn’t offer discount , if my next one comes and isn’t spotless poo poo will be hitting the fan big time!
