So after nearly a year of driving around a boring old 1.3 DuraTec Fiesta (passed at 17), I've finally managed to get hold of a Defender. With a year of crash free driving I can afford the insurance for one. Opened an account here because I've got a few questions and want to learn more from other threads.
F Reg originally the 2.5 Turbo Diesel. Has had a 300tdi dropped in but kept the LT77 box. Has a couple of small issues and has the seemingly unavoidable drive train slack. Paid £2500 and after a bit of looking around it seemed a good price. Wanting to get some upgraded bits for it but want it to be mechanically and electronically (the fusebox is a mess) be sound and organised beforehand. First thing I think is to get rid of the slack in the drivetrain.
