New to site

hi guys just traded old 99 disco td5 for a 08 disco 3 100000 miles had a week from dealer .Dash keeps flashing up engine management problems egr valve supposedly changed before I collected truck now dealer reckons it needs a software upgrade I don't trust them looking for a true cause no bull anyone please ???
