Thanks very much for your offer, appreciate it. But after reading a lot of people's comments, it's looking like I need to build up a bit of experience before I venture out. May have to go to a off road centre or something.

Thanks

Take him up on his offer, it's free.

Going out alone is not a good idea, but getting some practical instruction while learning to trust the capabilities of your LR is.

Personally I'd take the man up on his kind offer, green laning is not all massive rock steps and driving through swamps. For most people off road centres are a mayhoosive waste of money as most green lanes are just like un tarmaced roads and you just drive at a speed that is proportionate. Landys as a whole are more than capable with coping with 90%+ of the green lanes most people drive along and if you do find yourself going for a play on your own walk the lane first if you're unsure.

Failing that go and have a try at a pay and play site where there's always people to come to your rescue, although in my experience pay and play days are a lot more extreme than your average green lane.

And don't forget on here give as good as you get;)
