New to forum

Hi I'm new to the forum and I have just bought a freelander 1.8 petrol please help . It was stood for a year I put new battery on took it for mot and it passed . Now the problem it just turns over and won't fire if I unplug fuel cut off switch it starts then dies plug it in fires up and then I'm off . I have gave it full service new leads cap rotor and replaced coolant temp sensor also hand a land rover specialist reset all adaptions still no luck any ideas thank you
