I just put on a set of BFG Mud Terrain 285 75 R16 tires with stock rims. It "almost" works... New 16" x 8" wheels with ET 10 offset are on the way...

Yes dieseldog69 you are correct. When I said that the "almost" work, I meant it. So the BFG 285 75 R16 are supposed to be mounted on 7.5" rims, the stock ones I have are 7". They mount up fine, but might be bulging out a bit more than they would on the 7.5" rims. As suspected they do rub a little bit on full steering lock. The other thing going on I did not expect, the right rear tire is rubbing on the top spring mount... I have ordered a set of 16" x 8" ET 10 wheels. Hopefully the increased offset gives more space between the tire and the spring mount. Also hoping for a bit better clearance up front. Also the wider wheel should reduce the sidewall bulge a bit. Keeping my fingers crossed!!!

I am questioning now if I should have gone with something like a ET-32 wheel. Any thoughts on that?

285/75 r16 are 33X10.5X16 ub old money,

I would have gone with the ET-32 but you could still chuck in some hubcentric 30mm spacers to chuck them out a bit further.
