New rovers

I am sitting in a Land Rover/ Jaguar main dealers in Tumen Russia waiting for a wheel bearing to be fitted to my P38 and I am surrounded by new Range Rovers Disco and Freelander there is nothing older than 2012 and there are brand new L404 and Sports and Evokes here .I can count about 40 new vehicles here in the Land Rover section and about the same in the Jaguar section so there must be serious money here. also in this street is all the other new car dealers with ther forcourts full of new cars (top of the range models)
There is a new L322 here and is price is 3 699 000 Roubles it is the Westminster model The L404 has not got a price on it ! it is an autobiography 5l supercharged.
I dont think you could find a dealer in the UK with such stock on the floor and this is not a particulary big town and is 3000 km from Moscow and 300km from the next big town.
Just a bit of information that some of you might find interesting on how the Russian economy is going. Most pay for their cars with cash.

I see the same when i'm in China (around Shanghai). The cars you see here are just something else.....& usually chauffeur driven. The divide between rich & poor is immense

Same in Kuala Lumpur and in some parts of Africa loads of cash around for the few

Cos they exploit the poorer all the time.

All of those countries have something in common. They pay their labour a pittance

You mean the L405? Why the hell are so many people calling them the L404?

But I digress. Like many countries, the rich/poor divide is so large you could fit a whole new country in it.
