Hi all
New owner (2 months). I had never driven one until the day I bought it. Love everything about the driving experience but a bit unsure about turning. Is it right that the wheels rub on the internal panel (covers the engine sorry not sure on technical term but I’ll get there :)) when turning with full lock on, turning left or right? It’s like the wheels are too big and catch as the full body vibrates and the steering wheel shakes. Fortunately it’s only when driving slow when doing things like 3 point turns or really tight turns.
Thanks

Q1. what vehicle are you referring to? [a Defender, Gaylander, L322, Batmobile, Mclaren F1...?]
Q2. what size wheels and tyres are on the vehicle?

There are steering stops on the series and they should be adjusted so the wheels dont foul at full lock. Unfortunately, ham fisted owners sometimes snap them off when trying to adjust them when they are seized up with crud and rust. Mine is such an example. I just keep the steering wheel about a quarter of a turn off full lock. The steering lock on a series is pretty rubbish at the best of times. A three point turn is an optimistic way of saying eight point turn.

Could be worse, could be a 109!

@Rich4 , as above Series and Defenders have adjustable steering stops to do just this, to stop the wheels/tyres hitting the inner wheel arches and steering/suspension components. Look in your Series workshop manual and it will tell you the adjustment settings. + check no-one's fitted Carlos Fandango type wheel/tyre combo's as these will cause clashing. If fitted with Carlos Fandango type jobbies you might light to return to std set up as it will drive much better. Unless, of course, someone's been generous enough to fit a set of Wolf steels on your Series III, which looks the dog's danglies :)
