Just signed up "derekoc" I am based in Kildare, Ireland. Interest started about July 2004 when myself and friend forund a suitable Disco V8 and took it down to Banjul with the Plymouth Dakar Challenge in Jan 05. A little over a year later with a two like minded friends, bought 3 Jap import 300TDI disco's from Car Equality in the UK. Since Then we have been back to Banjul and Eastern Morrocco each year with our teenage sons. This years trip (Always January) we are looking to the eye of Africa (General Direction Atar, Mauritania) We dont usually get up to much between trips as there is usually a lot of repairs and prep work. I have been getting a litle more hands on with the mechanics so hopefully I can contribute as well as learn.
