Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and although I don't yet have a Land Rover, I am actively looking for one. I have a boat which will need launching and recovery from some muddy slipways and creeks, so a Landy seems like the obvious choice. Anyway, I look forward to joining in on the forum, but please expect the occasional daft question.

Actually, thinking about daft questions, we also have an ageing greyhound who will need to get in and out of the back door. The family are worried about this. So, what is the normal floor to ground height of a standard unladen 110 County? There you are; first daft question.

Regards.

Hi Graham.

Welcome to the Loony Zone.

The floor hieght of my 90 is about 30 inches or to put it in simple terms just below hip hieght for the average bloke which is perfect for lift heavy things out of.:)
So if your used to liftin the dog in and out of the vehicle thats great. But not so great for the old dog if its gotta jump in and out itself.

Hope that answers yer question :D

...or you could sling a plank of wood in the back and use it as a doggy ramp :)

A Plank. OK. This dog is scared of stairs, hoses, cats (yes, really), vacuum cleaners and his own shadow, so I can see a plank working a treat, but I would certainly give it a try!

Apparently, he wasn't a very good racer either. At 30" ground to floor, plank or no plank, he will be going in! ;)

Thanks for the info.

Thanks. At 30 inches, he'll manage, with or without the plank (See other postings!).
