hi all Ive just joined you guys as Im now the proud owner of a p38 R reg. Its got a few issues but overall Im happy with it. The horn doesnt work and there is no feed going to it, so i need to look behind the steering wheel. Does anyone know how to remove the centre cover or the steering wheel?

First of all have you got hold of a copy of RAVE?? You will need this for the electronic troubleshooting manual, this will allow you to trace wires etc.

The way it works on the P38 is like so, when you press the horn you earth a feed from the BeCM. When this is earthed the BeCM energises RL9 in the engine fusebox. Power then goes via F41 (20 amp) through the relay and to the TWO horns (just inside each headlight).

Have you checked the fuse and the relay to make sure you are at least getting a feed to the fuse and relay??
