Hi, have just joined at last, Have had a Defender 110 for over 10 years and a Freelander 2 for 4years. Both have been very dependable as you would expect. We live in the Norfolk countryside and having a 4x4 is pretty essential when the rains come so wouldn't be without either vehicle, when other people are suck we go sailing by!
Now have problem with the Freelander 2 , the immobiliser wont deactivate so everything is non-operative - steering wheel lock, starter, electric handbrake, etc, etc. Both key fobs lock and unlock but thats it. Any suggestions as my local garage are scratching their heads and it looks like a trip to the local LR dealership which will cost a fortune.
