Junior member?? Long time since I was called Junior but I was told to introduce myself so I am.

Just bought a 1992 Defender 90. Looks and drives OK but the cross member ends are going and the ride height seems overly high - my border terrier just bounces off the sill trying to get in.

It's on 7.50 BFG tyres but I wonder if it has been lifted too. Roof height's around 80".

Engine seems good, we got 32mpg on the 150 mile home trip but for all the 200tdi hype it sure takes its time getting up to speed.

Anyway, we've taken off the (Britpart?) roof rack and ladder and wonder what to ask for it to offset for forthcoming cross member and teen insurance bills..

Hi Grahama, If you want a top class crossmember ask pressbrake to make you one he is on this site, they really are the tops!!he makes them from 6mm folded steel, not like your britpart rubbish 2mm.He is in Canvey Island Essex, He is also on Ebay goes by the name of 177flump. Thanks for that, I haven't owned a Landy before (been bounced around in enough tho) so it's a steep learning curve at the moment.
Does Pressbrake fit them too or just make them?

:welcome2:and get a taller dog :D

My dog walks tall even tho he's a short arse. He is now brave enough to jump out but getting in still defeats him. I suppose he is 10 now.

Re Pressbrake, I'm sure it's just me but I can't find him on Ebay or figure out how to send a message on this forum - does someone have a contact number or email??
