hi to all just registered as a member i have a disco 1 and a disco 2 td5 and have just bought a f reg landrover 90 it has a non turbo engine in it i have put some 265/75.16 insa turbos on it and god does that make the old girl work for a living i have a rotten disco1 300tdi and was wondering will the disco engine mate up to the gearbox already in it or should i put engine and box in off the disco

you can get the lt77 to mate up with the 300tdi engine. do a search on here there's a link to a site where the owner does a step by step guide. disco gearbox won't fit without major modifications to seatbox & tranny tunnel and levers will sit approx 10" further back between the seats.

cheers for that i know i will have to change engine mounts but besides should everything else go smoothly enough

Yep it's an easier swap than a 200tdi disco engine. you'll need the flywheel housing off ya old engine.

been reliably informed its harder to do a 300 than a 200 and the flywheel housing on the 300 will fit

nope! no eggsauce to fook about with in the 300. and 300 won't mate to a lt77 bell housing.
