Hi Anaconda, yes pretty certain its broken. Had a bar in and tried to turn it over. But no joy. Solid. Shame as body in good condition for its age.

Engine from s type Jag is cheapest option whole car can be got for 1 to 2k but still have a engine that could break the same some time down the road
Thanks Ian. That's interesting. Just out of curiosity, would it need much adapting to fit one?
Not a expert, but there are many on here who are, but think engine is same and all the bits need to be changed over but someone else will know a lot more, I am sure
Doing it yourself it'd cost about 1500 for the 3.6, you might want to renew head gaskets and turbos before fitting so thats another 1500-3000 depending what quality you want parts wise. Then its just time and sorting electrical stuff
